The first merit list for Gramin Dak Sevak was released in August this year and the second in September. However, the merit list of candidates who appeared in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir was withheld due to the assembly elections.

Candidates who are shortlisted in India Post GDS 3rd Merit List 2024 have to submit their documents for further verification process. Shortlisted candidates must submit their documents through the Divisional Head mentioned against their registration number on or before November 4, 2024.
According to an official statement, they will have to submit the original copy of their documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents. The recruitment exam is likely to fill a total of 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies in post offices across the country.
