Delhi University has launched Dual Degree Program for students who are interested in pursuing two courses parallelly within the institution. As per the new facility, eligible students can enroll in one degree in the regular mode offered in any college or department of DU, and the second degree can be pursued in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode offered in the School of Open Learning. The official notice reads, “As per Academic Council Resolution No. 14 dated 12.07.2024 and Executive Council Resolution No. 5 (5-39) dated 27.07.2024, the University has granted permission to pursue two-degree programs simultaneously. Have decided to give. Within the University, one in regular mode as offered in the colleges/departments of the University and the other in open and distance learning mode as offered in the School of Open Learning, Campus of Open Learning.
In this regard the University has also listed important terms and conditions that candidates need to keep in mind while selecting the dual degree programme. These are as follows:
- Students who are enrolled or in the process of enrollment in any degree program and are willing to pursue two academic degree programs in regular mode and ODL mode must inform the University through the Head of the Department or Principal of the College.
- The university said students cannot pursue two similar academic programs like B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (Pass) together, even if the intention is to pursue one of them in ODL.
- Students who are permitted to pursue two academic degree programs simultaneously must fulfill all academic requirements of both academic programs (attendance, internal assessment, continuous assessment, assignment submission, presentations, examinations, promotion requirements, etc.) independently. will be.
- To avoid studying the same mandatory courses twice when pursuing two different degree programs simultaneously, students should first study the mandatory courses for the enrolled program (Regular or ODL) and the courses appropriate for the enrolled program later. - DU informed that students will not be allowed to obtain a major or minor degree in any subject by combining the credits earned in two different degree programmes.

Meanwhile, Delhi University ended the mop-up round registration on September 29, 2024. Mop-up round is conducted to grant admission to candidates only in some shortlisted colleges and programmes. As per the schedule, candidates can apply to colleges and programs from September 30 to October 2, 2024.
Additionally, colleges can select and grant admissions from October 3 to October 5, 2024.
