Things to keep in mind while living abroad:

As soon as candidates reach their destination, they should immediately contact their Indian Mission. It is mandatory to attend the reception organized by the Indian Mission so that you can meet the officials of your respective Mission. Apart from this, candidates have to register themselves on the Ministry of External Affairs’ Madad Portal: madad.gov.in, so that help can be extended to them in difficult times.

Follow the guidelines of Indian Missions abroad

Keeping in mind the threats and challenges faced by Indian students, the Ministry of External Affairs has issued guidelines. In these guidelines, students have been asked to keep themselves safe from any threat and keep all protective measures with them. Apart from this, officials of Indian missions abroad also visit universities from time to time. Students are also expected to inform the officials if they face any kind of problem.
