New Delhi. On the occasion of 101st birthday of Hero MotoCorp founder Brijmohan Lal Munjal, the company has launched a special edition bike Hero Centennial. Only 100 units of this bike made of carbon fiber will be available to people. However, this bike will not be available to the general public but only to a select few which will include the company’s employees, stakeholders, associates and business partners. This bike will be sold through auction.
This bike was first introduced to the world during the Hero World event in January. At that time, the company launched its two new models Xtreme 125R and Harley Davidson based Mavrick 440 in the market.
Who will get the bike?
Hero MotoCorp has launched this bike to commemorate the 101st birthday of the company’s founder Brijmohan Lall Munjal. The company says that this bike will be sold only to its employees, associates, business partners and stakeholders. This means that common people who do not fall within the limits specified by the company cannot buy this bike. Hero will start the delivery of this special bike in the month of September. The special thing is that only 100 units of this bike will be made and sold.
How is the Hero Centennial bike?
Let us tell you that this bike is based on the platform of the company’s famous model Hero Karizma XMR. It has carbon fiber body work, which has been updated with some new components and features along with a single seat. It has adjustable suspension and Akrapovic’s carbon fiber exhaust muffler. After these changes, the weight of the bike has reduced. The weight of Hero Centennial is 5 kg less than Karizma XMR and its total weight is 158 kg. The company has used MRF tires in it.

Since Hero MotoCorp has launched this special edition motorcycle for selected people, this bike has been put up for auction. That is, no price has been fixed for this bike. This is a collector edition bike, which has been introduced by Hero MotoCorp as a special edition. At present, the company has not shared its plans to launch it in the market for sale.
