NEET PG 2024: The National Board of Medical Examinations (NBEMS) on Friday announced new dates for the NEET PG exam, which was earlier postponed just 12 hours before the exam as a ‘precautionary measure’.
Earlier, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) exam was scheduled to be held on June 23.
However, as per the announcement, the medical entrance exam will now be conducted on August 11, 2024, in two shifts.
The notice said, “In continuation of the notice of NBEMS dated 22.06.2024, the conduct of NEET-PG 2024 examination has been rescheduled. NEET-PG 2024 will now be held on August 11, 2024 in two shifts.”
The cut-off date for eligibility to appear in NEET-PG 2024 will remain August 15, 2024.

On June 22, the Union Health Ministry had postponed the NEET-PG entrance exam as a “precautionary measure” amid allegations over the sanctity of some competitive exams.
The Health Ministry had said that it would thoroughly evaluate the robustness of the NEET-PG process for medical students to be conducted by NBEMS in collaboration with its technology partner TCS.
UGC-NET Exam Dates
Last week, the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) also announced new exam dates. The exam scheduled for June 18 was cancelled a day later after the education ministry found that the sanctity of the exam had been compromised. The exam will now be held from August 21 to September 4.
UGC-NET is an examination to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship, appointment of Assistant Professors and admission to PhD courses.
