Palamu. The preparations for the Jagannath Rath Yatra on 7th July are almost complete. The Jagannath Rath is being taken out by ISKCON in Palamu district of Jharkhand. It will be taken out for 14 to 15 kilometers. The height of the chariot is 31 feet. The chariot will be pulled with a 75 feet long rope.
Let us tell you that Jagannath Rath is being taken out by ISKCON in Palamu district since the year 2019. This year also the preparations for Jagannath Rath have been completed. Rakesh Kumar Singh alias Mangal Singh, chairman of the organizing committee, told Local 18 that this year’s Rath Yatra is going to be very special. A hydraulic chariot has been prepared for this. He told that the maximum height of the chariot is up to 31 feet. At the same time, the minimum height is up to 15 feet. The height of the chariot can be increased or decreased according to the road.
There will be a shower of flowers on the road
He further said that this time, religious organizations will shower flowers on Lord Jagannath. Arrangements have also been made for Sharbat along with Prasad for the devotees. He said that after 15 days, today there will be darshan of the Lord. Which will be celebrated on the lines of Netra Utsav. Crowd of devotees will start gathering from 7 pm. Along with Bhajan Kirtan, devotees will have darshan of Lord Jagannath. Which will be celebrated like Netra Utsav. Rath Yatra will be taken out on 7th July at 2 pm.
The Rath Yatra will be of 14 kilometres
He told that this Rath Yatra will be the second largest route in the country. A 14 km long Rath Yatra is taken out in Gujarat. After which a 14 km long Jagannath Rath Yatra will be taken out by ISKCON in Palamu. It will start from Hare Krishna Niwas located at Major Mod. Passing through Bharat Mata Chowk, this Yatra will start from Hare Krishna Niwas located at Major Mod in Medininagar city. It will reach Hare Krishna Niwas from Bharat Mata Chowk via Chhah Muhaan, Saddiq Manzil Chowk, Belvatika, Station Road, Redma Chowk, Bairia Chowk, Gayatri Mandir and then from Bharat Mata Chowk.
Bhandara will also be organized
He told that during the Rath Yatra, dry prasad will be distributed among the devotees. A grand bhandaara will be organized after the Rath Yatra ends. The administration will be present for security reasons. The health department has been informed. An ambulance will also be present behind the chariot. In this Rath Yatra, there will be two ropes of 75 feet each tied to the chariot. The devotees will pull it by holding it.
