Which khichdi should Jailonski cook? Trump-Putin Phone before EU leaders

Kiev. Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky met top American officials and European leaders in Rome, Italy on Sunday. The purpose of this meeting is to intensify diplomatic efforts before the important phone calls between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Jailonsky spoke to US Vice President JD Vance and External Affairs Minister Marco Rubio at the residence of the US Ambassador, while German Chancellor Frederick Mars said he spoke to Jailnsky and Rubio while taking over the new Pope.

Frederick said, “I firmly believe that both European and American are firm to work together to ensure that this terrible war ends soon.” Trump said that he is planning to talk to Putin over the phone on Monday, and after that he will talk to the leaders of Jailonsky and various NATO countries about the end of the war.

Meanwhile, Russia attacked Ukraine last night in which at least one person died. It is considered one of the fierce drone attacks so far since the war against Ukraine in 2022. Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia fired a total of 273 explosive drones throughout the night, out of which 88 were destroyed and 128 others became useless due to being electronically jammed.

Kiev’s regional governor Mycola Kalashnik said that one woman was killed and three others were injured in a drone attack on the area. The attack took place after the first direct talks between Moscow and Kiev on Friday after the first direct talks. There was no result on the ceasefire in the talks between Russia and Ukraine on Friday.
