Starlink In India: Starlink plans to expand its services across India by making Mumbai its operational hub. This step is being considered a big and historic turning point towards starting high-speed satellite internet service in India.
New Delhi. India has now moved towards the satellite internet era. Elon Musk’s company Starlink has officially registered its presence in the country. The company has rented an office of 1294 square feet in Andheri East, Mumbai. Till now Starlink’s visit to India was limited to approval of files and ministries, but now this dream has become a reality. Today i.e. on 30th October and 31st October, the company is also giving demo of satellite internet in Mumbai. During this time, officials, common people and tech experts will be able to see closely the state-of-the-art technology and security features of Starlink.
Earth station gateways will be built in 9 cities
Starlink is not going to be limited to Mumbai only. The company is going to install its Earth Station Gateway in 9 major cities in India. These include cities like Noida, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kolkata. These gateway stations will further strengthen Starlink’s network, thereby providing uninterrupted high-speed internet services across the country.
Internet will reach everywhere
This step will prove to be a boon especially for those areas where traditional internet is still out of reach i.e. hilly, rural and border areas, they will also be directly connected through satellite. This space-based internet company of Elon Musk is already working in many countries of the world, and now India is its next big destination.
