Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis defended Deputy CM Eknath Shinde’s comment from ‘Jai Gujarat’. He said Shinde’s comment does not indicate priority for Gujarat on Maharashtra.

What did Fadnavis say?
Fadnavis criticized the backlash for Shinde and said, “Such a parochial thinking does not do Marathi mind.” He further remembered when former Union Minister Sharad Pawar called “Jai Maharaha, Jai Karnataka” during the unveiling of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Chikodi, Karnataka. “Does this mean that Sharad Pawar loves Karnataka more and less than Maharashtra,” he questioned.
Fadnavis further said, “Wherever we go, we say what the people there like.
