Alwar. Although Panipuri carts and stalls are seen in every street and locality in Khairthal city, but when it comes to Chaat-Papri and delicious Panipuri, the name of Khairthal comes to the fore. Hemraj Golgappa is quite famous on 40 Foot Road, Anand Nagar Colony. Here, Golgappa with pure and wonderful taste always attracts people. 60-year-old Hemraj, a resident of Khairthal, says that he started selling Golgappa in 1985. Today it has been almost 42 years since he has been doing this work. For decades they have been serving delicious and fresh golgappas to their customers.

Hemraj sets up a stall every evening for about 3 hours, and during this time there is a crowd of people at his stall. The biggest specialty of his golgappas is his special attention to cleanliness and purity along with taste. This is the reason why Hemraj Golgappa seller still remains the identity of taste in Khairthal city. People come from far and wide to eat his golgappas. He told that whenever people of Alwar Mundawar, Tijara, Kishangarh Bas, Jaipur, Delhi come to Khairthal, they never forget to taste Hemraj’s Golgappa.

Medicinal spices are mixed in Golgappa.

Hemraj Chandwani told that whenever people come to their relatives’ house in Khairthal, their first demand is for Golgappa. They also get it packed and taken away from here. He told that the taste of golgappas is special not only because of the spices but also because of the healthy elements hidden in them. Traditional and medicinal spices like mint, doda, clove, nutmeg, cumin, black pepper are used in Golgappa water. They believe that these spices provide relief from minor problems like stomach ache, fever, weakness of eyes. Hemraj says that people should not only enjoy the taste but also get pure and clean food.

Started business due to poverty

He told that he started this work due to poverty, but on the strength of his honesty, quality and hard work, today he has made a name for himself in the entire Khairthal city. He has been running this stall continuously for almost 42 years. Every day around 100 to 150 people come just to eat their golgappas. Even at the age of 60, Hemraj serves delicious golgappas to people with the same enthusiasm and dedication. In view of his hard work and dedication, he was awarded a certificate under the Prime Minister Samman Nidhi Yojana, in which his hard work, self-confidence and self-respect were appreciated.

Hemraj’s Golgappa is the first choice of customers.

Customer Dheeraj Kumar Gupta says that he has been eating Hemraj’s golgappas for the last 30 years. Their behaviour, cleanliness and taste make them different from everyone else. Visha Gupta says that the quality and taste of Hemraj’s golgappas are excellent, that is why she has been eating golgappas here for the last 10 years. Another customer smilingly told that whenever guests come to the house, their first request is that they will not leave Khairthal without eating Hemraj’s Golgappa. Besides, he himself has been tasting his Golgappa for 25 years. In fact, Hemraj is not just a golgappa stall but has become a living identity of the taste and tradition of Khairthal.
