Chhapra Sonpur Ganga Ghat: Chhapra’s Sonpur Ganga Ghat has been built on the lines of Varanasi, which has provided employment to the local people. The shops here, Hariharnath temple and Sonpur fair are the center of attraction among the people.

In such a situation, there are many Ganga ghats in Chhapra district too, but Ganga ghats of Sonpur are better than all the ghats. The ghats here have been constructed on the lines of the Ganga Ghats of Varanasi. Due to its construction, thousands of local people have also got employment. Here small boat drivers take people to Navka Bihar. Due to which more than 1000 rupees are earned daily.
People are doing business on the ghats
Along with this, hundreds of fast food shops, restaurants and shops offering puja items are open in the vicinity. In this way people are earning money by doing small businesses. These ghats also look very beautiful. Because of which a large number of people from Hajipur, Patna and Chhapra come here to visit and take photos.
There is a huge crowd on the ghats here
Here the picture looks like a fair in the morning and evening. A large number of people come here to enjoy the fresh air. You are also seen walking and doing yoga. Now whenever people feel like traveling on a boat, they go to Ganga Ghat in Sonpur, earlier people used to roam on boats in Banaras only, but due to this facility in Chapra, many people are getting benefit.
While talking to Local 18, Monu Raja said that due to the construction of staircase on Ganga Ghat here, local people have got employment on a large scale. Also, the devotees taking bath in Ganga here have got better facilities than before. There is a temple of Hariharnath nearby. After taking bath in Ganga from here, devotees collect water and offer it to Haryanath. There is a huge crowd of devotees here during the Sonpur Fair. Due to its construction, there has been a change in the livelihood of boat drivers.
Hundreds of shops are open on the ghats
The sailors here easily earn Rs 800 to Rs 1000 per day. Whereas hundreds of people are earning by opening shops selling flowers, puja material, fast food and restaurants. He also said that the arrival of tourists is now much more than before. A large number of people from nearby districts also come here to visit with their families and enjoy Navka Bihar by sitting on a boat. In such a situation, now people are enjoying the ghats of Banaras at Sonpur Ganga Ghat of Chapra.
