SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Date: After a long wait, finally the Staff Selection Commission has announced the SSC CHSL Recruitment 2025 Tier 1 exam dates. The examination will start on November 12, 2025 in Computer Based Test mode or CBT mode. The CHSL Tier 1 exam was initially scheduled for September 8 to 18, but was not conducted.
The Commission will also provide candidates the option to select their preferred examination city, shift and date. Candidates can log in to the website between October 22 and October 28 to make their selections.
Upon logging into the portal, candidates will be shown slots available on different dates and shifts in the three cities selected by them during the application process. Candidates can choose a specific shift in their preferred city on any available date. However, candidates opting to take the exam in regional languages may have less options for dates and shifts.
If all the slots in the three initially selected cities are filled, candidates will be given a list of alternate cities where slots are available. The Commission said it will make every effort to allocate a slot in one of these alternative cities, although specific dates and shifts cannot be guaranteed.
The Commission has indicated that candidates who do not select the examination city, date and shift within the stipulated time, it will be assumed that they have no intention of appearing in the examination. Candidates are advised to choose their examination date, city and shift carefully as any change request will not be entertained after allotment based on their choice.
A self-explanatory document with necessary screenshots will be made available on the portal to guide the candidates through the option selection process.
