The Skoda Octavia RS was first unveiled in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, and the performance sedan has finally been launched on our shores. One of the most anticipated new launches of the year, it arrives via the completely built-up unit (CBU) route with only 100 units allocated for the Indian market. Over the years, the Octavia has been discontinued several times in India; First launched in India in 2001 as the Czech manufacturer’s first car, it was initially discontinued in 2010 to make way for the Laura sedan. The latest launch marks the return of this iconic nameplate after being discontinued once again in 2023.

How is the cabin of the Skoda Octavia RS?
The Octavia RS extends its sporty looks to the cabin, which is highlighted by suede/leather upholstery with red contrast stitching. Front row occupants are provided with electrically adjustable front seats with memory, heating and massage functions. The Skoda Octavia RS shares its MQB Evo platform with the Volkswagen Golf GTI, and as such, both are powered by the same 2.0-litre TSI engine mated to a 7-speed DSG. With this inline-four turbo-petrol, the sedan produces 261 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.

Skoda has priced the Octavia RS at ₹ 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom), limited to only 100 units on our shores. It is offered in five color options: Mamba Green, Candy White, Race Blue, Magic Black and Velvet Red.
With its launch, the Octavia RS has become the Czech carmaker’s flagship sedan in India. It will take on entry-level German luxury sedans within the same price range, while also taking on the Toyota Camry and Golf GTI.
