A few days after Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla’s AXIOM -4 mission, a few days after the expectation built around the Axiom -4 mission, the launch was once again delayed after the discovery of a leak in the Falcon -9 rocket of SpaceX. The AXIOM-4 mission was scheduled to take Shubanshu Shukla and three others to the international space station on 10 June, 10 June, but a leak in the aircraft has postponed the launch.
Commander Paigi Whitson, Pilot Shubhunu Shukla and Hungary expert Tigor Kapu and Slavose Uznanski -Visnivski of Poland were slated to start on the Ex -4 mission.
Announcing the delay, SpaceX stated that it “stood down” from Falcon -9 launch, which identified a liquid oxygen leakage to allow time for repair after post -static inspection of the rocket’s booster.
In a post on X, SpaceX said, “Once full and pending limit availability, we will share a new launch date.”
When will Axiom-4 be launched again?
The new launch date of the AXIOM-4 mission has not been announced yet, but it may be some time until astronauts start their launch in space. Once the leak is fixed, necessary verification tests will be done before cleaning the aircraft for launch.
The new launch date will be announced soon.
Where was the leakage detected?
ISRO President V. Narayanan confirmed that a liquid oxygen leak was detected in the propulsion bay during a hot test of seven-seconds on the launch pad.
“ISRO team discussed with experts from AXIOM and Spacex and it was decided that the leaks would be fixed before clearing for the launch and would be required verification tests,” Narayanan said.
He said that the launch of sending ISS to the first Indian astronaut was postponed.
The 14-day mission will “realize” a return to the human spacecraft for India, Poland and Hungary.
Axiom-4 launch
Originally scheduled for launch on 29 May, the AXIOM-4 mission has been postponed at least three times. It was first postponed till 8 June and later on 10 June.
On June 10, the launch in a day was postponed in a day due to bad weather in the flight road.
Now, SpaceX has detected a leak in the Falcon -9 rocket, which further delayed it.
