Kuala Lumpur: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated virtually during the 47th ASEAN Summit held in Malaysia. Apart from this, the powerful leaders of the world with whom he has held meetings include New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, Brazil’s Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, Singapore’s Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, South Korea’s Foreign Minister Cho Hyun, Thailand’s Foreign Minister. Sihasak Phungketkaew, Foreign Minister of Brunei Dato Erivan Pehin Yusof, Foreign Minister of Vietnam Le Hoi Trung and Minister of International Trade of Canada Maninder Sidhu.

Put these issues before the world

During this summit, Jaishankar placed before the world the issue of shrinking supply chains and limited energy markets. He said that the world is going through a difficult time. He also spoke openly on the controversy regarding energy trade. He said that energy trade is shrinking, due to which the principles are being implemented selectively. He made it clear that it is not necessary to follow the advice of those who preach. He has suggested the powers around the world to move towards dialogue, cooperation and flexible solutions.
