OpenAI has launched a new browser ChatGPT Atlas. But it would not be right to call it just a ‘browser’. It is actually a browser with a smart assistant that can completely change internet surfing. This means that now you will not need to open ChatGPT separately, because it will be present in the browser itself.
You get three special features…
ChatGPT Atlas has three main features that make it different from other browsers. It has chat, memory and agent.
First of all, talking about Chat, you can directly ask questions to AI while on any website. Like-‘Which is the better version of this phone?’ Or “Give a brief summary of this news.”
The second Memory Atlas feature remembers your previous searches and things so that next time you do not have to repeat everything again and again. If you want, you can erase everything through ‘Incognito Mode’ or ‘Clear Memory’.
The third and last Agent Mode, this is the most interesting feature. With this, ChatGPT can automatically perform small online tasks for you – like booking tickets, making trip plans or retrieving important information from any site.
How will you be able to access Atlas?
Initially Atlas is available only for Mac users, but OpenAI is soon going to bring it to Windows, iOS and Android also. Free users will get its basic features, but Agent Mode will be available only for Plus, Pro and Business subscribers.
The biggest feature of Atlas is that it is not dependent on Google or Bing. It has its own ChatGPT Search Engine, which combines internet results and AI answers to give you the best results.
On the other hand, if we talk about Google Chrome, while Google Chrome is only for browsing, Atlas helps you in thinking, understanding and working along with browsing. It is as if your personal assistant is navigating the internet with you.
