Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has announced vacancies for Apprentice posts. Candidates with B.Com, B.Sc, or Diploma, or ITI, or 10th class qualification can apply through the official website of ONGC, ongcindia.com. This recruitment drive aims to fill 2623 posts within the organization. The registration process started on October 16 and will end on November 6, 2025.
Selection of trainees will be based on merit, which will be determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination specified in the advertisement. In cases where the qualifying score of the candidates is the same, preference will be given to the candidate with higher age. Any form of canvassing or influence will result in rejection of candidature. The results will be declared on November 26, 2025.
“Selection for Apprentice will be on the basis of merit based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as prescribed in the advertisement. In case of equal marks in merit, the person with higher age limit will be considered,” the official notice said.

ONGC Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed ITI training or graduation in relevant posts depending on their trade. ITI or related diploma/graduate qualification in trades like Mechanic, Electronics, Instrumentation, Fitter, Fire Protection Technician, Medical Laboratory Technician, Computer Operator, Storekeeper, Civil Draftsman, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunication is required.
Further, they must not have previously undergone apprenticeship or are not undergoing apprenticeship training as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
Age Limit: Applicants age should be between 18 to 24 years as on November 6, 2025, which means their date of birth should be between November 6, 2001 and November 6, 2007.
ONGC Recruitment 2025: Stipend
Selected candidates will get a stipend ranging from Rs 8200 to Rs 12300 depending on their qualification. There will be training for one year for all trades.
