Actor Lee Jung-Z says that he is yet to say goodbye to Seong J-Hun of player number 456 or hit show squid game. The third and final season of the squid game, globally popular Netflix series wrapped out production. Jung-J returned for the much awaited second season in 2024 and is now waiting for the third season on 27 June. “We haven’t released season three yet and we still do not know how the audience is going to respond to season three, I have not said goodbye to GI-Hun, although we have wrapped the production,” he said.

“As an actor and as part of those who have made the show, I think it is also part of the journey how the audience reacts. So when we meet to do so, I think I will be ready to say goodbye.”

The squid game created by Hwang Dong-Huki, revolves around a deadly competition, where 456 players, all face financial difficulties, play a series of Deadly Children’s Games, who won in prize money for winning 45.6 billion.

At the end of the first season, GI-Hun won the prize money but instead of returning to his life, he prepared to end the deadly games for good.

In the second season, GI-Hun returned to the Games with a mission to highlight the real identity of Mastermind. Whether it is successful in his mission or not, it will be revealed in the upcoming third season.

52-year-old Jung-Z, a famous face in the South Korean film and television industry, such as an affair, Il Mara, Housemade, Hunt and Drama Series of Staff, playing the role of GI-Hun, said that he has been reminded of those values ​​that people ignore in daily life.

He said, “The biggest lesson I felt by portraying GI-Hun and through squad game is that there are many things that we think we know, but we forget in life,” he said.

He said, “Some of them are important to understand and really help others when they need. Squed game is definitely a show that has given me the opportunity to reflect and see these important messages,” he said.

The actor said that people often ask how they are similar to GI-Hun, and they believe they share many symptoms. “As I am an actor who portrayed Z-Hun, my own interpretation of the character went into making him. So we are quite similar,” he said.
