Kim K arrived at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures completely naked clad in beige — and we mean literally, from head to toe! The jaw-dropping outfit once again proved that when it comes to red carpet drama, no one can do it like Kim Kardashian.
A masked and bejeweled figure
Kim K’s striking avant-garde ensemble – a full-length, form-fitting nude beige gown – is a show-stopping creation straight from the runway from Maison Margiela’s Spring/Summer 2025 couture collection, designed by Glenn Martens.
The dress features a strapless, structured bodice that flatters the figure, with dramatic, flowing draped sleeves that extend from the arms to the floor, adding dynamism and elegance. The skirt of the gown falls in soft, gathered pleats, creating a fluid, sculptural silhouette.
A distinctive element of this look is the matching fabric that completely covers her head, giving the outfit a mysterious quality. Contrasting the minimalist tone of the outfit, the look is elevated with a gorgeous statement necklace.
The necklace is composed of large, silver-toned crystal motifs, with striking green emeralds at the center of each set. Complementing the piece were bold emerald rings, which added a rich pop of color and a touch of old-world glamor to the futuristic ensemble.
social media is divided
As usual with Kim, the internet had opinions. On Instagram, fans were largely astounded, calling her look “the best look ever” and praising her as a “weird fashion icon”. Many praised the bold style, with one user writing, “Ok but it’s really great,” while another joked, “Mommy just in time for Halloween.”
Still, not everyone was on board – some admitted that “Veil’s actions don’t appeal to me,” while others joked – “I think people want to kill Kim lolz.”
Reddit, on the other hand, was much less forgiving. Critics speculated about her comfort level, with comments such as, “I feel like this woman wakes up every day of her life and thinks, ‘What is the most uncomfortable and impractical thing I could possibly wear?'”
Others compared her look to her Kanye-era attire – “This is something I expected when she was with Kanye” – while one user pointedly compared it – “I thought of Jonah Hill’s character in Django Unchained.”
