Material:

  • Ladyfinger – 500 grams
  • Oil -3-4 tablespoons
  • Cumin – 1/2 tsp
  • Fennel seeds – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
  • Ginger (paste) – 1 tablespoon
  • Green chili (chopped) – 2 (as per taste)
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Amchur powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper – 1/4 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Green coriander – for decoration

Method of preparation:

Preparation of lady finger,

  • Wash the lady finger thoroughly and dry. Keep in mind that there is no water in the lady finger, because water can be smooth and will not fry properly.
  • Cut both ends of okra and cut it into 2-3 pieces in length.

  1. Masala tadka,

    • Heat oil in a pan.
    • When the oil is hot, add cumin and fennel to it. As soon as it starts crackling, add asafetida.
    • Now add ginger paste and green chili and fry for 1-2 minutes, so that the raw taste of ginger is over.

  2. Lady,

    • Now add chopped okra pieces and mix well.
    • Then add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, mango powder and salt. Mix these spices on the ladyfingers and let it cook for 5-7 minutes.

  3. Cook,

    • From time to time, mix the lady finger with light hands so that it does not start burning.
    • Let the lady finger cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes. If the okra dries quickly, you can add some water, but keep in mind that the lieu is maintained.

4. Cook,

    • When the lady finger is cooked well and becomes crisp, add black pepper and mix it.
    • Now serve hot coriander and serve hot.

Serving:

  • Serve the dhaba style okra fry with a hot bread, paratha or rice. This is a great delicious vegetable that makes any food special.
  • Now enjoy it, and if you want more spicy then you can also add green chillies and ginger paste.
