Saifabad Mint Museum in Hyderabad is the place where the entire history of Indian coins can be seen under one roof. The main attraction of this museum is the historical coins kept here. These also include a replica of a gold coin weighing 11 kg, which is considered the world’s largest gold coin. People come from far and wide to see it, rare coins of the Mughal period are a center of special attraction for history lovers.

Coin making machines are also displayed here, through which you can know how coins are made. Some genuine coins have also been collected here.

History of Museum
This building was built in 1903 by Mir Mehboob Ali Khan, the Nizam of Hyderabad. Initially coins were minted here, and this was the first place in India where coins were made by machines. In the year 2022, it was converted into a museum, so that people can become familiar with the currency history of India.

The museum is located adjacent to the Public Garden, near Saifabad Assembly Metro Station, which is easily accessible. It is open from 10 am to 5 pm and is closed on Mondays. So next time whenever you go to Hyderabad, do not forget to visit this unique museum.
