OnePlus has officially started the rollout of OxygenOS 16 update based on Android 16 for OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13s. This new UI gives users a better experience with smooth animations, lock screen customization and many AI features.
Fluid Animations (Smooth Animations)- OnePlus has used Parallel Processing 2.0 technology in OxygenOS 16. This feature gives users a consistently smooth experience across system interactions, navigation gestures and app transitions. That means the animations continue without interruption.
Resizable Icons (Change Icon Size) – Now you can make app folders and icons on the home screen larger or smaller as per your choice. The UI has also been optimized for tablet users, so that 5 apps can be added simultaneously in Open Canvas, 3 apps in Split View and 2 apps in Floating Window.
Lock Screen Widgets, new Wallpapers and Themes- OxygenOS 16 includes Flux Theme 2.0, which supports video wallpapers and motion photos. Also Always on Display (AOD) feature is also available. Now it is also easy to add widgets on the lock screen, which will appear horizontally or vertically according to the theme.
Fluid Cloud- You can now see live updates and real-time alerts on the lock screen, like from food delivery, sports, and Spotify. The new UI has become even more attractive with a translucent interface, rounded corners and Gaussian Blur effects.
Plus Mind (AI Feature) – Plus Mind is no longer limited to just screenshots. You can record voice memos, share images, and capture longer screenshots. This feature is exclusively available in OnePlus 13S and 13.
How to download OxygenOS 16?
Update the phone to the latest OxygenOS version.
Go to Settings > Software Update.
OxygenOS 16 will appear, click on Download and Install.
Before updating, make sure that the phone has enough storage and at least 30% battery.

Third time (January – March 2026): OnePlus Pad, Pad Lite, 10 Pro, Nord CE 4, Nord CE 4 Lite
