On the result document, candidates will get cut-off marks for their score, qualification (pass/failed) status, subject and category and other details. To check the GATE 2025 results, they have to use enrollment ID/email address with passwords.
Provisional Gate 2025 Answer Key was released on 27 February and the objection window was closed on 1 March. The final answer key is expected with the result.
Gate 2025 scorecards will be released separately and it will be available for download from 28 March to 31 May 2025.
Gate 2025 1 February, 2, 15 and 16 was conducted in Computer-based test (CBT) mode. The test was held in two sessions – the forenson session from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and in the afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
There were three types of questions: Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), several-selection questions (MSQs), and numeric answer types (NAT).

Gate 2025 Result Live Update: Marking Scheme for MSS
Gate 2025 Result Live Update: Multiple selection questions (MSQ) carry each 1 or 2 marks. Each MSQ has four answer options, one or more alternatives (s) are correct.
While there is no negative marking for the wrong answer in MSQs, candidates will not get partial marks to choose the correct combinations of options or any wrong option.

Gate 2025 Result Live Update: Gate 2025 Test papers had three types of questions: Multiple Choice Question (MCQs), Multiple Select Question (MSQs) and Numerical Answer (NAT).
MCQs carry each 1 or 2 digits. These questions are objective with the choice of four answers. Of the four options, only one is right.
The MCQ will have a negative marking for an incorrect-stepped answer.
For 1-Mark McQs, 1/3 mark will be cut for the wrong answer and for 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be cut for the wrong answer.
