How long can you resist the temptation to look at something when you’re told not to look at it? This is the subject of this apocalyptic drama on Netflix. Starring Sandra Bullock, it is based on the 2014 novel of the same name.
According to Netflix’s own website, the drama unfolds in two different time periods. There is a present where Mallory Hayes, played by Bullock, is sailing down a river with two children while all three are blindfolded. The goal is to avoid seeing entities that would cause the person seeing them to commit suicide.
The story takes place five years earlier when Hayes was pregnant and first heard about unexplained mass suicides.
10 Cloverfield Lane
This science-fiction horror drama was released in 2016 and was the second film in the Cloverfield franchise. The story centers on the character of Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who finds herself forced into a bunker by John Goodman’s character.
He claims that he actually saved her life, as Earth has been invaded and has been left uninhabitable outside the bunker. Will Winstead’s character Michelle accept this explanation? Or will she discover that Howard, played by Goodman, has been lying to her? You can find the answer on Prime Video.
black bag
A different kind of espionage thriller. Black Bag tells the story of an MI6 agent named George, played by Michael Fassbender, who is tasked with investigating people suspected of defecting. One of the people on the list is his own wife, played by Cate Blanchett.
This sets the stage for a dinner where George tries to see all the suspects and figure everything out. It’s a great subject for a thrilling, but at the same time, unique play. It is available on Prime Video.
cataclysm
Starring Tom Hardy in this crime-based thriller, the lead character is a murder detective who searches for a politician’s son in the dark corners of the underworld after a drug deal goes wrong. To make the situation more complicated, his own past life also gets involved in the case. This drama is available on Netflix.

Interceptor
Nuclear weapons are involved in this drama, which means the stakes in this drama are the highest. In this 2022 film, Elsa Pataky plays the role of an army captain. Russian nuclear weapons have been stolen, and America’s defense system has been partially paralyzed. Now it is up to them to save their country.
The fact that she previously had to report sexual misconduct and was bullied by her peers because of it adds another interesting layer to the drama. Enjoy this action thriller on Netflix.
