DU Academic Calendar 2025-26: According to the DU calendar, classes for first, third, fifth and seventh (1, 3, 5, and 7) will begin from August 1, 2025.

DU Academic Calendar 2025-26: Delhi University (DU) has released a revised academic calendar for the upcoming academic year 2025-26 for the graduation and postgraduate course. The schedule includes major information such as semester start dates, holidays, exams and conclusions of academic year.
According to the DU calendar, classes for semesters for first, third, fifth and seventh (1, 3, 5, and 7) will start from August 1, 2025. These classes will continue till November 27, 2025, followed by preparation holiday and practical examinations.
Theory exams for odd semester are scheduled to begin on December 10, 2025. The post exam will be a winter break by December 28, 2025, January 1, 2026. An autumn holiday is determined from October 19 to October 26, 2025, the classes start again on 27 October.
Classes for 2, 4th, 6th and 8th semester will start from January 2, 2026. Even during the semester, there will be a mid-semester break from March 1 to March 8, 2026, with regular classes resumed on 9 March.
Even semester classes will end on April 30, 2026, followed by the principle examination starting on 16 May, 2026. The academic year will end with summer holidays from June 1 to July 20, 2026.
The DU administration has also extended the summer holidays for the 2024-25 season, which is now scheduled from July 20 to July 31, 2025. The purpose of this expansion is to facilitate a smooth transition for students and teachers for the new academic session 2025-26.
In a notification issued by the university, it has been stated that the summer vacation for the current session 2024-25 has been extended from July 20 to July 31, 2025, to implement the new calendar for the academic session 2025-26.
