“I often remind your patients: Heart health begins in the kitchen. Cholesterol buildup can harm your arteries silently until too late. But good news? Your everyday Indian diet has powerful tools to fight naturally with LDL cholesterol,” Dr. Sumit has written in the caption. There are 5 Indian foods here. Dr. Sumit recommends helping you to protect your heart:

1. Fenugreek (fenugreek seeds)

Pack with soluble fiber, fenugreek helps to tie cholesterol into the intestine and blocks its absorption. For best results, soak seeds overnight and consume them in the morning.

2. Coconut (in moderation)

Surprisingly, coconut can be heart -suited when used by mind to mind. Whether oil or tight, it can help increase good cholesterol (HDL), which in turn helps to balance LDL.

3. bhindi (Okra)

It is rich in underraged superfood mucosa, a gel -like substance that implicates cholesterol and helps to get it out of the body naturally.

4. Apple (or options like guava or amla)

5. Garlic
