The National Testing Agency, NTA, will close the registration for CSIR UGC NET December 2025 on Friday, October 24, 2025. Eligible and interested candidates who want to appear for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) can submit their applications on the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in.
General category candidates have to pay the application fee General-EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category candidates have to pay Rs 1150 Rs.600, and SC/ST/PWD/PWBD/Third Gender candidates have to pay 300.
Application fee can be paid through Net-Banking/Debit/Credit Card/UPI.
After the closing of the application window, candidates can make the online fee payment till 11:50 pm on 25th October 2025.
Additionally, the application correction window will remain open from October 27 to 29, 2025 till 11:50 pm.
CSIR UGC NET will be conducted on December 18, 2025. The examination will be conducted in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode in two shifts – first shift from 9 am to 12 noon and second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.
The examination will be conducted bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. Candidates will have to answer in the medium as per the option given in the application form.

According to NTA, in case of any ambiguity between the Hindi and English versions due to translation, the English version will be considered final.
NTA will share information about exam city slip and admit card in due course of time.

Candidates can apply for CSIR UGC NET December 2025 by following the steps given below:
- Visit the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in.
- On the home page, click on the link to register for Combined CSIR UGC-NET 2025.
- Enter your credentials to register yourself.
- Fill the application form, upload documents if required and pay the application fee.
- Review and submit the application form.
- Download Confirmation Order.
- Keep a printout of it with you for future reference.
