Police have registered a case against the directors of two private schools in Maharashtra’s Bhandara district for allegedly running without permission from authorities, officials said.
An education department official here said that for the management of a school, it is mandatory to obtain permission from the civil administration or the government, but two institutions located in Lakhandur tehsil here were running without the requisite approval.

He said, during the visit, a panchayat samiti official found 69 students enrolled for classes 1 to 6 in one school and 31 students enrolled for classes 1 to 4 in another institution.
Following instructions from district education officers, Lakhandur police have registered a case against the directors of both schools under section 223 of the Indian Justice Code (disobedience to order given by public servant), the official said.
