Blue Ghost Lander catches stunning sunset shots on the moon before it becomes silent

Date:

Cape Canavaveral, Fla. (AP)-A private lunar lander has captured the first high-language sunset paintings from the moon.

Jugnu Aerospace and NASA released stunning photos on Tuesday, which fell silent in the Blue Ghost Lander Weekend. A shot included Venus.

Firefly’s blue ghost landed on the moon on 2 March, the first private spacecraft to touch directly and perform its entire mission. Before dying due to lack of solar energy, these pictures continued to portray the pictures in five hours a night and collect science data.

Joel Kirns of NASA said that the series of sunset shots of Blue Ghost is the first high-resolution images from Earth’s neighbor. Scientists would need to analyze them deeply, they noted, at least before making any determination about the horizon shine captured in a photo and whether it was created by carrying dust. The principle was placed by Jean Sernan of Apollo 17, more than half a century ago, the last astronaut on the moon.

“Whatever has been found is really beautiful, aesthetic image that really shows unusual characteristics,” Kirns said at a news conference.

Blue Ghost conducted 10 experiments for NASA under the Commercial Lunar Distribution Program of the Space Agency. While all the objectives were fulfilled, officials said, the on-board drill could enter only 3 feet (1 m) to the Moon vs 10 feet (3 m), which was planned.

Jugnu said it would try to activate Chandra in the beginning of two weeks in early April, bitter cold lunar night, although engineers suspect that it will crank back.
