Baahubali The Epic Advance Booking: SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali movies are being re-released in theaters as a single movie on October 31. Here’s how it fared.
Advance Booking of Baahubali The Epic: SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) will be released in theaters this Friday as one film, Baabul: The Epic. The film has already overtaken Vijay’s Gilli re-release and Mahesh Babu’s Khalija in terms of earnings. According to trade sources, pre-sales have crossed Rs 10 crore worldwide. Baahubali: The Epic has already achieved the biggest opening and earnings for a re-release of an Indian film Rs 5 crore in India through pre-sales 5 crore in North America. It also becomes the first Telugu re-release to achieve this feat Earning Rs 10 crore worldwide on the first day. The new Baahubali film is expected to break Indian re-release records and possibly create new records worldwide.
For context, Vijay’s Gilli is often cited as the highest-grossing re-release, although reports vary on whether it had a re-release. 7.9 or Earning 10 crores worldwide on the first day. Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh had a worldwide collection While Mahesh Babu’s Khalija earned 8 crores 6.85 crores. The brief runtime of the film is 3 hours and 45 minutes. Many scenes have been removed from the film and it is being prepared for re-release.
The film is being re-released not only in India but in more than 1150 theaters across the world. In the US, Baahubali: The Epic will be released in over 400 theatres, over 210 in the UK & Ireland, over 150 in the UAE & GCC, 144 in Australia & New Zealand and over 100 in Southeast Asia.
