The policeman tried to arrest Kundi on Penham Road at Royston Park. The policeman had alleged that he had seen a ‘quarrel’ between a kundi and a woman. In a video related to the incident, the policeman can be seen forcibly forcing him, while he and his wife Amritpal Kaur were protesting this act of the police. Kundi was shouting and saying, ‘I have done nothing wrong.’ At the same time, Kaur was making a video of this whole incident and was saying that the police is taking action improperly.

During the arrest attempt, he was admitted to the hospital after the condition of Kundi deteriorated and ‘insensitive’. Police said that Kundi tried to scrape during the arrest and he was intoxicated. Kaur said that her husband was just intoxicated and making noise, but she did not commit any violent activity.
