Apple is working on its first OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro, which may launch in 2026-2027. Know about its features, design and possible price.
Apple is working on creating an OLED touchscreen for its first MacBook Pro. A report has revealed that this new model can be launched in late 2026 or early 2027. If this turns out to be true, it will be a major change in Apple’s laptop design, which will provide lighter and thinner body design and more flexibility.
Dynamic Island will be available in MacBook
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the OLED MacBook Pro may be codenamed K114 and K116, which will be for the 14-inch and 16-inch models. These new models may have a hole-punch cutout instead of a notch for the main camera in the front, which will feel like the Dynamic Island of the iPhone.
Apple is working on stronger hinges and screen hardware to prevent the display from shaking or bouncing during touchscreen use. This new MacBook Pro is expected to have M6 chips, and it will be thinner and lighter than the existing models. There will not be much change in the keyboard, trackpad and layout, but the touchscreen feature will make it more useful.
Since it will include premium technologies like OLED display, stronger hinges and new chips, its price could be a few hundred dollars more than the current MacBook Pro.
Although Apple has not confirmed this yet, many reports and research outlets have described it as confirmation. This move could be the biggest change to the MacBook lineup in years.
