Apple may launch a cheaper MacBook in 2026. It can be given a 12 inch screen and iPhone A series chip. Its price has also been revealed.
Apple is about to make a big change in its PC section. The company is planning to launch a cheap MacBook in early 2026. Many things were already coming to light about this new model, but in the recent report of Bloomberg, more information has been found on its features and possible price.
There has been a big change in Apple’s product strategy recently. Products like iPhone 16e are part of this change. Now the company is also bringing cheap and affordable options in the computer section, so that it can compete with affordable machines like Microsoft Windows and Google Chromebook.
What to expect from this cheap MacBook
According to the report, this new MacBook is close to production. LCD display like iPad Air can be used in it. For processing, this iPhone will be equipped with an A series chip (probably A18 or A19).
The screen size is likely to be smaller than 13-inch, due to which Apple can bring the 12-inch form factor back to the market. There may be some changes in the design and build quality, but it will be a product of the same quality as the iPhone 16e, which will not be completely cheap.
price and competition
The launch price of this new MacBook may be less than $1000. If Apple launches it in the $700-$800 range, it could become a great option for many people. Its real competition will be with Windows 11 PCs and Chromebooks, which fall in the same range.
Windows 10 support ended in October, so many users are ready to upgrade. In such a situation, this new MacBook of Apple can attract them. Especially in a market like India, MacBook is still considered a special product like iPhone.
Launch Likely
According to the new report, the launch could happen in early 2026, possibly in the month of March. Its launch with M5 MacBook Air can also be a different option.
