Tamannaah Bhatia discusses the film industry’s positive change towards women in their 30s, keeping in mind the increasing demand for complex roles.
Actress Tamannaah Bhatia recently talked about the film industry’s changing mindset towards women in their 30s and how age and experience are increasingly being celebrated on screen.
Tamanhan talks about his acting journey
In an interview with Filmfare, he reflected on his journey, revealing that he had a “10-year plan” when he entered the industry. When asked if she felt the industry today is more open to layered, mature roles for female actors in their thirties, she said, “Yes, definitely. There are more parts being written for projects like this for women in this age group. We don’t really see many women after that age. And in fact, when I became an actor, I actually had a 10-year plan. I thought, I’ll start working now. I will, and then I will work until my thirties, and beyond. That, I will get married and have children,” Tamanna said.
“But the good thing was that when I was working and I was in my late twenties, I really came into my own, and by then, fortunately, the industry had started writing really juicy parts. And I think that’s a general shift that’s happened all over the world. However, I don’t know what this fear of aging is. A lot of people talk about aging as if it’s a disease. Aging is terrible. But I don’t know why people are so afraid of aging,” she says. Added.
Tamanna’s upcoming projects
Tamannaah will next be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller O’Romeo opposite Shahid Kapoor, a serious gangster drama releasing in late 2025 or early 2026. The film also stars Trupti Dimri.
She is also set to star opposite Sidharth Malhotra in Vavan-Force of the Forest, a mythological/folk thriller produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF. Filming will begin in June 2025 and the film is planned for release in May 2026.
Apart from this, Tamannaah is reportedly playing the role of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria’s wife in a biopic-style action film under Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. He is also rumored to be involved in Anees Bazmee’s comedy sequel No Entry 2, which will star Varun Dhawan in the lead role.
