Actor Asrani Passes Away: Veteran Bollywood actor Asrani is no more, passes away at the age of 84

According to ANI, actor-director Asrani was ill for a long time and breathed his last in Mumbai on the day of Diwali. His last rites were performed at Santa Cruz cremation ground. Late actor Asrani’s manager Babubhai Thiba said, ‘Asrani died at 3 pm today at Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Juhu. He is survived by his wife, sister and nephew.

Let us tell you, Asrani had worked in many great films in his career like Sholay, Bawarchi, Abhiman, Anamika, Ajnabee, Chhoti Si Baat and Rafuchakkar. He was last seen in the year 2023 in Nonstop Dhamaal and Dreamgirl 2.

Asrani was born in a Sindhi middle class family. His father shifted to Jaipur after partition and opened a carpet shop. He had four sisters and three brothers. Some took over the family business but Asrani chose a completely new path. Till date people remember him as the jailer of Sholay in his career.

Asrani did his graduation from Rajasthan and then did further studies from Xavier School. He started his career as a voice artist. Then he moved into films and his first film was Hare Kanch Ki Chudiyan (1969). Later, he appeared in many supporting roles and gained a lot of fame.
